More About Girls interested in playing tennis this spring/Pre-Season MeetingWe have placed 11th out of 13 in the Front Range League and therefore are slated to play our regional qualifying round in Broomfield on Wednesday October 3rd and perhaps the 4th. The exact time and location has not be selected by Broomfield yet but as soon as it is I will let you all know. The individual seedings will take place on Monday night so I will have those after that meeting and can let you know who you are playing the Tuesday prior to the match. Also, I would like to have an end of the year party to celebrate our team and what we have accomplished; or at least the fun we have had. I am open to dates and currently looking at a week night during the week of October 8th. Please text me on the group text if you have a night that works better than another. That particularly means you Bob. :)

More About Pre-seasonLoveland lost 75-92 in the season opener tonight. Transition defense is what plagued the Indians and allowed the Eagles to extend the lead toward the end of the first quarter. Twice the Indians were able to drive the lead down in the second half, which was encouraging to see. There were a few bright spots on the night, the first was that the Indians shot 45% from the field, 8% higher than their average last season, as well as pulling down 31 rebounds (more than 10 higher than their average last season) against a taller eagles team. The most impressive stat of the night was their 16 assists on 27 made shots (nearly double their totals from last season. One thing is for sure, the Indians must improve at the defensive end going forward, they also need to cut down on turnovers as they coughed the ball up 21 times.
